Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions with customers in English, clearly interpreting mission objectives into defined technical requirements and next steps.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of satellite platforms, in-orbit capabilities, mission services, and operations to effectively communicate solutions to customers and engineers.
- Assess customer payload and interface requirements for both physical integration and on-demand missions, ensuring alignment with existing program specifications.
- Develop tailored technical solutions during the sales cycle by asking targeted questions to clarify expectations and scope.
- Take full ownership of technical proposal content, including system architectures, mission analyses, and written narratives that are clear and mission-focused.
- Act as the central link between Business Development and Engineering, analyzing requirements, synthesizing input, building consensus, and driving decisions.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in systems engineering, mission operations, or aerospace engineering, preferably on low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite programs.
- Some background evaluating satellite payloads, planning missions, and developing concepts of operations (CONOPS).
- Proven ability to explain complex technical topics clearly and confidently in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience collaborating across departments in fast-paced environments where priorities evolve and uncertainty is common.
- Strong systems-level thinking with the ability to quickly grasp new architectures, tools, and internal workflows.
- Demonstrated success in bringing structure, clarity, and progress to technical discussions with customers and internal teams.
- Comfortable using modern digital tools, internal systems, and lightweight processes typical in scaling startups.
- Passion for the commercial space industry and a strong interest in direct customer engagement.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in customer-facing technical roles such as sales engineering, solutions engineering, mission architecture, or customer program management.
- Proven involvement in a range of LEO missions, particularly Earth Observation missions.
