TD Insurance is looking for a Senior Research Machine Learning Scientist to lead research and development in strategic AI/ML areas. You will provide deep technical leadership, design enterprise analytic solutions, and build complex machine learning models that scale to petabytes of data. This role is a key opportunity to define future direction and deliver powerful business insights.
What You'll Do
- Drive research and development in strategic areas of AI/ML.
- Provide deep technical leadership and expertise to support and define future direction.
- Work closely with business owners to identify opportunities and serve as an ambassador for AI/ML.
- Lead cross-functional teams of data and machine learning scientists, engineers, and business process owners.
- Design and deliver enterprise analytic solutions to customers.
- Build complex machine learning models that learn from and scale to petabytes of data.
- Develop powerful business insights from a broad range of data using advanced machine learning techniques.
- Lead and manage research and development in a subfield of AI, delivering publications/patents and applying innovative solutions to enterprise problems.
- Provide specialized AI/ML knowledge, advice, and guidance to various stakeholders and team members.
- Provide analytical thought leadership and stay current on developments in machine learning and data science.
- Identify new analytical trends, data needs, and repeatable analytic solutions.
- Contribute to team development through mentorship.
- Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies related to business activities.
- Ensure programs, policies, and practices are well managed, meet business needs, and comply with requirements.
- Conduct internal and external research projects and support the development of presentations.
- Monitor service, productivity, and efficiency levels and implement continuous improvements.
- Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts.
What We're Looking For
- An undergraduate degree.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, which includes post-graduate experience.
Nice to Have
- An advanced technical degree (Master's/PhD preferred) in math, physics, engineering, finance, or computer science.
- Progressive project work experience.
