Colac Area Health is hiring a Senior Project Officer (Identified) to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs aimed at improving education, training, and employment outcomes for Aboriginal people. This role is central to meeting the NSW Government’s Closing the Gap commitments by fostering inclusive practices and ensuring equitable access to opportunities.
What You'll Do
- Provide high-level advice and support to Program Managers for effective planning and delivery of programs supporting Aboriginal people.
- Develop and manage partnership agreements and contracts, coordinating procurement and grants processes to achieve program objectives.
- Prepare high-quality project documentation including status reports, briefings, budgets, and presentations to support informed decision-making.
What We're Looking For
- This is an identified position designated for the employment of an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
- Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
