The Senior Programmatic Strategist is a client-facing role at Directive responsible for managing programmatic campaigns across multiple channels including Display, Native, Video, and Audio. This individual will develop media strategies, optimize campaigns using DSPs, and serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring alignment with performance goals in the B2B/SaaS space.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with internal teams to create comprehensive media strategies that align with client objectives
- Leverage first-party and third-party data for precise audience targeting and segmentation
- Develop and implement programmatic campaigns across various Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs) such as DV360, The Trade Desk, and others
- Continuously monitor and optimize campaigns to achieve performance and pacing goals
- Generate and analyze performance reports to provide actionable insights and recommendations
- Quickly identify and resolve issues related to campaign performance and delivery
- Work closely with creative, analytics, and account teams to ensure cohesive campaign execution
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on campaign performance and strategy adjustments
- Present campaign plans, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to clients
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of proven experience in programmatic roles at publishers, advertising agencies, or ad tech companies
- Hands-on expertise in media buying: building and optimizing campaigns in DSPs
- Proven track record in Programmatic media planning, buying, and building measurement frameworks to evaluate campaign success
- Strong understanding and perspective of how programmatic and other channels (both paid and organic) work together to holistically surpass client KPIs
- Experience successfully driving programmatic growth across clients in the B2B/SaaS landscape with budgets over $50k/month
- Strong cross-collaboration skills, both within the organization and externally (client-facing), with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Solid analytical ability, exceptional attention to detail, and a results-oriented mindset, capable of balancing multiple projects effectively
- 2+ years of agency experience is required
