Role Overview
This position is responsible for understanding customer business objectives and technical requirements, then mapping them to effective data storage and infrastructure solutions. Working hand-in-hand with sales and channel partners, the engineer ensures technical alignment that drives revenue and secures long-term client commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain in-depth insight into customer workflows, priorities, and decision criteria to guide solution strategy
- Translate business challenges into technical architectures using Everpure’s portfolio and complementary ecosystem technologies
- Collaborate with account teams and specialists to deliver a unified customer experience that supports growth and market expansion
- Lead technical discussions on storage systems, including DAS, NAS, and SAN, with expertise in file systems, distributed architectures, and competitive offerings
- Manage proof-of-concept deployments, performance testing, and system configuration processes
- Design and present technical demonstrations that clearly articulate value and secure technical approval
- Convert customer requirements into scalable, innovative solutions that support digital transformation
- Initiate validation projects around interoperability, performance, and functional integration
- Facilitate roadmap discussions between customers and internal product teams to align future development
- Support the creation of technical content such as whitepapers and webinars in partnership with marketing
- Monitor competitive developments and refine positioning to maintain technical differentiation
- Advocate for customer-centric innovation grounded in Persistence, Creativity, Teamwork, Ownership, and Customer-first values
Required Qualifications
- Proven pre-sales engineering experience in technology solutions
- Minimum of five years in roles combining technical design, systems architecture, and client communication
- Strong grasp of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing environments
- Expertise in storage technologies including FC, iSCSI, NAS, SAN, and OSD
- Hands-on experience with Linux, NFS, and distributed network systems
- Familiarity with virtual memory, multiprocessing, shared memory, and cache subsystems
- Solid understanding of cloud-native transformation, on-prem infrastructure, public cloud, and containerization
- Working knowledge of VMware, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and LAN protocols
- Excellent communication skills, with experience leading RFP responses and technical proposals
- Track record of identifying and converting new enterprise prospects
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in selling enterprise storage, cloud platforms, or systems to large organizations
- Exposure to modern web stacks such as LAMP and scale-out architectures
- Understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and orchestration tools
- Passion for demonstrating emerging technologies to technical and non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with storage-heavy applications, including SQL and Oracle databases

Work Location
This role is based in Western Canada, with local engagement expected across the region.
