As a Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer, you will play a key technical role in advancing sales within the SLED sector by identifying customer priorities and mapping them to effective, future-ready storage solutions. Your expertise will bridge business needs with technology capabilities, ensuring clients adopt systems that deliver measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain deep insight into customer environments, decision drivers, and long-term objectives to shape tailored technical strategies
- Translate business requirements into innovative architectures using the Pure Storage platform and complementary ecosystem technologies
- Lead product demonstrations, proof-of-concept deployments, and technical evaluations to secure client commitment
- Collaborate with sales teams, specialists, and channel partners to ensure a unified, customer-centric approach
- Design and deliver compelling technical presentations that clarify value and differentiate solutions
- Support request-for-proposal processes with detailed, accurate responses grounded in real-world applicability
- Stay ahead of competitive trends and evolving market demands to inform internal strategy and external positioning
- Work closely with product and marketing teams to develop technical content such as whitepapers and webinars

Qualifications
Candidates must bring at least five years of combined experience in technical pre-sales, systems design, and customer-facing engineering roles. Required expertise includes distributed storage systems, file architectures (including NFS and Linux environments), virtualization (VMware), and networking fundamentals (Ethernet, TCP/IP). Experience with SAN, NAS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel is essential.
Proficiency in cloud-native technologies, containerization (containers, Kubernetes), and modern application frameworks (microservices, LAMP) is strongly preferred. Familiarity with public cloud platforms—AWS, Azure, and GCP—and their integration with on-prem systems is a significant advantage. Knowledge of high-performance applications such as SQL and Oracle databases is highly valued.
