EssenceMediacom is hiring a SENIOR PLANNER to join our WPP Media team. In this senior strategic role, you will work on a global client to develop and execute impactful campaign strategies specifically for the Japanese market. As a key contributor, you'll translate client briefs into actionable plans using data-driven insights and deep consumer understanding.
What You'll Do
- Support the Strategy & Planning Lead in creating insight-driven campaign strategies.
- Translate client briefs into defined problems and proposed solutions using category and audience insight.
- Support building campaign communications architecture, defining channel roles and measurable KPIs.
- Keep up to date with industry, market, and consumer trends to identify opportunities.
- Support the AD in developing consistent, excellent media plans reflecting the campaign strategy.
- Become an expert in WPP proprietary and syndicated tools to inform decisions.
- Collaborate with the creative agency to ensure alignment between creative and media.
- Analyze campaign data to troubleshoot and craft insights for mid-flight and post-campaign reporting.
- Ensure feedback loop and continuity of learn-and-apply between campaigns.
- Form close relationships with key client stakeholders to build trust.
- Demonstrate excellent client service through timely responses and deliverables.
- Participate in workshops, training sessions, and team building events.
- Be an advocate of continuous improvement with a 'Can Do' attitude.
- Work closely with peers and support tasks outside core responsibilities when required.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in a planning or strategy background.
- Numerate and highly analytical with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with audience insight data such as GWI, ACR or similar.
- Genuine passion to grow, learn and adopt new technologies such as AI.
- Collaborator who can work with cross-functional teams and external agencies.
- PC literate (Google Suite, Microsoft).
Nice to Have
- Bilingual; Japanese and English; with fluency in one language and basic / business communication skills in the other.
