Responsibilities
- Serve as the daily point of contact for managers on people-related questions, team dynamics, and coaching needs.
- Collaborate with the Head of People on employee relations matters, using case-by-case judgment to determine who leads; typically handle standard issues like performance concerns, interpersonal friction, accommodations, and manager-team dynamics, while the Head of People handles complex cases or those involving senior team members.
- Guide managers and team members through difficult conversations and personnel issues.
- Manage end-to-end core people processes including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, compliance documentation, and HR systems.
- Develop and maintain the infrastructure that ensures smooth operations.
- Identify and implement workflow automations and AI tools that create significant leverage and address challenges across People functions.
- Handle internal communications for People programs, policy updates, and initiatives, and apply change management experience when processes evolve.
- Oversee the operational aspects of performance cycles, including setup, timelines, and completion tracking.
- Create manager enablement resources that managers actively use and be the primary contact for daily people questions.
- Manage employee engagement end-to-end, including survey administration, data analysis, and interpreting what the data reveals.
- Help drive tangible changes based on employee feedback.
- Build and maintain people dashboards and trackers for People data.
- Produce insight-driven summaries from data to help the team understand underlying trends, not just numbers.
- Assist Recruiting with coordination and candidate experience when needed.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist, HRBP, or hybrid HRBP/People Ops role.
- Sound judgment in employment law and employee relations fundamentals.
- Comfortable owning a People Ops stack.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in spreadsheets and reporting tools.
- Strong written communicator, comfortable creating scalable documentation.
- Hands-on, daily experience using AI tools in HR work.
- Experience supporting globally distributed teams across multiple employment models and regions.
- Fast and iterative; comfortable presenting a v1 to stakeholders and improving based on feedback.
- Empathetic and decisive; thoughtful in weighing tradeoffs and confident in final decisions.
- Earns trust through follow-through.
- Genuinely aligned with the company's work style: bold enough to experiment, willing to engage in healthy debate and then commit fully, collaborative by default, and motivated by outcomes.
