About the Role

Convera is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist EMEA to join our growing HR team. In this full-time permanent role, you will be responsible for the accurate, compliant, and timely execution of payroll across multiple countries in the EMEA region, requiring deep technical expertise and a proactive approach to process improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Own and oversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple EMEA countries, ensuring accurate and timely execution in compliance with local laws.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for EMEA payroll, advising internal stakeholders and escalating complex issues.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll close activities, including reconciliation of payroll general ledger accounts and tax submissions.
  • Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and external vendors to ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Provide strategic input on payroll process optimization, automation opportunities, and internal control improvements.
  • Prepare reports and analytics for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage off-cycle payments such as terminations, bonuses, and corrections.
  • Resolve ServiceNow tickets in a timely and professional manner, meeting established service-level agreements.
  • Maintain up-to-date SOPs, process documentation, and compliance checklists.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to employees and stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 3+ years of payroll processing experience within the EMEA region, including multi-country payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of EMEA payroll laws, tax regulations, and employment practices.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing system, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Exceptional attention to detail with proven track record of high accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced global environment.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee data.
  • Flexibility to work schedule that accommodates global collaboration and payroll deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal guidance.
