LyondellBasell (LYB) is hiring a Senior Payroll Analyst to join our Human Resources Department. This senior role is responsible for administering salaried, exempt, and non-exempt payrolls using SAP, including processing additional payments, auditing, and balancing each payroll in a multi-state environment.
What You'll Do
- Process and administer non-exempt hourly payrolls in a multi-state environment.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to improve system processes and procedures.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality regarding employee personal data.
- Process large payroll files and prepare them for upload into SAP.
- Respond immediately to employee questions or concerns regarding pay-related issues.
- Assist Human Resource representatives and employees with procedural understanding of payroll policies.
- Audit and balance each payroll.
- Process additional payments such as bonuses, stock option exercises, and other special payments using SAP Payroll.
What We're Looking For
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience using SAP to maintain and process payroll.
- Experience working with large volume payrolls and in a multi-state environment.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong knowledge of multi‑state payroll laws, federal regulations, and payroll tax compliance.
- Proven ability to execute payroll garnishment setup and processing with accuracy and timeliness.
- Excellent interpersonal conduct, behavior, and strong oral & written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office products.
- Able to comprehend moderately complex assignments quickly and use initiative to accomplish goals.
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Nice to Have
- CPP preferred, but not required.
- Experience with Success Factors as an HR system.
- Canada Payroll Processing experience.
- Experience in expatriate payroll processing in partnership with Global Mobility Teams.
- Experience working with executive compensation.
