Pythian is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to manage and optimize high-performance database systems for our global clientele. You will join a team of experts dedicated to delivering exceptional database services and solutions.
What You'll Do
- Manage, monitor, and maintain Oracle database environments to ensure high availability and performance.
- Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Perform database tuning, capacity planning, and performance analysis.
- Plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and migrations.
- Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards.
- Provide on-call support and resolve critical database incidents.
- Automate routine DBA tasks to improve operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in production environments.
- Expert knowledge of Oracle Database installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
- Proven experience with RMAN, Data Guard, ASM, and performance tuning.
- Strong skills in SQL, PL/SQL, and database scripting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote setting.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Work Mode
This is a fully remote position for candidates located in India. You will be part of Pythian's global, distributed team.
