Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable network solutions across data centers and cloud platforms.
- Monitor network performance and proactively address bottlenecks or outages.
- Maintain and upgrade routing and switching infrastructure.
- Implement and enforce network security policies and access controls.
- Troubleshoot complex connectivity issues across distributed systems.
- Support network automation initiatives using modern scripting tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
- Manage firewall configurations and related security appliances.
- Optimize WAN and LAN performance for global office locations.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Document network architecture and operational procedures.
- Evaluate and integrate new networking technologies.
- Provide on-call support for critical network incidents.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware and service delivery.
- Ensure high availability for mission-critical services.
- Perform capacity planning for network resources.
- Support cloud migration efforts with secure connectivity.
- Configure and manage SD-WAN solutions.
- Work with IPv4 and IPv6 addressing schemes.
- Implement QoS policies for voice and video traffic.
- Maintain network monitoring and alerting systems.
- Lead root cause analysis for network-related outages.
- Promote best practices in network design and operations.
- Stay current with evolving network standards and protocols.
