A Senior Network Engineer is needed at Freelance Latin America to support a U.S.-based IT services environment, focusing on infrastructure reliability, security incident response, and technical improvements across multiple client environments. This role operates within a managed service provider (MSP) context, emphasizing operational excellence and client service.
What You'll Do
- Respond to security alerts (Huntress, Blumira), including investigation, containment, remediation, and documentation of results
- Perform preventive maintenance: monitoring reviews, patch coordination, system cleanup, and environment standardization
- Automate repeatable tasks using PowerShell (onboarding/offboarding, reporting, recurring fixes)
- Manage ticket workflows and client communication using ConnectWise Manage
- Perform remote monitoring and remediation through Datto RMM
- Create and maintain clear documentation and procedures for repeatable solutions
- Lead Disaster Recovery planning and testing across environments
- Execute emergency VM and server recovery when required
- Troubleshoot and administer Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP)
- Manage Microsoft 365 environments and Azure identity/security settings
- Support networking infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, switching, and Wi-Fi
- Participate in a limited on-call rotation for critical server outages only
What We're Looking For
- Highly experienced MSP professional
- Ability to respond to security alerts with investigation, containment, remediation, and documentation
- Experience performing preventive maintenance (monitoring reviews, patch coordination, system cleanup, environment standardization)
- Proficiency in automating tasks using PowerShell
- Experience managing ticket workflows and client communication using ConnectWise Manage
- Experience with remote monitoring and remediation via Datto RMM
- Ability to create and maintain documentation and procedures
- Experience leading Disaster Recovery planning and testing
- Capability to execute emergency VM and server recovery
- Strong troubleshooting and administration skills in Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP)
- Experience managing Microsoft 365 and Azure identity/security settings
- Networking infrastructure support skills (firewalls, VPNs, switching, Wi-Fi)
