Lendable is looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to join the Lenda team and build a new consumer credit card in Mexico. Your primary focus will be the React Native mobile application, delivering high-quality features and evolving a clean, scalable frontend codebase. You'll join a small, cross-functional team with a startup mindset within our profitable fintech environment.
What You'll Do
- Deliver high-quality features for the React Native mobile application.
- Evolve a clean, scalable frontend codebase.
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers to agree API behaviours through clear, documented contracts.
- Contribute across the broader frontend surface area where needed.
- Partner with product stakeholders to deliver well-defined, high-impact improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Solid understanding of recent versions of Typescript.
- Commercial experience with cross-platform mobile development using React Native.
- Commercial experience with modern web development with React / NextJS.
- Good understanding of the different needs of users across a variety of platforms and devices.
- Experience with current automated testing approaches and a pragmatic approach to the testing pyramid.
- Actively leverage AI development tooling to accelerate delivery.
- Product mindset and comfort working with product owners to break down business requirements.
- B2 (Intermediate) level written and spoken English for technical discussions.
Nice to Have
- Written or spoken Spanish at a working proficiency.
- Experience using GraphQL in a production environment.
- Experience with mobile performance best practices and debugging.
- Experience with staged rollouts and multivariate testing approaches.
- Understanding of accessibility needs and tooling.
- Experience with UI or UX design and discussing approaches with product designers.
- Experience building products that scaled from zero to tens/hundreds of thousands of users.
