Lendable is hiring a Senior Mobile Engineer to join the Lenda team, building a new consumer credit card product for the Mexican market. You will focus on the React Native mobile application, delivering features and evolving a scalable frontend codebase. You'll work in a small, cross-functional team with a startup mindset within our larger fintech company.
What You'll Do
- Deliver high-quality features and evolve a clean, scalable React Native mobile application codebase.
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers to agree API behaviours through clear, documented contracts.
- Contribute across the broader frontend surface area where needed.
- Partner with product stakeholders to deliver well-defined, high-impact improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Solid understanding of recent versions of Typescript.
- Commercial experience with cross-platform mobile development using React Native, and modern web development with React/NextJS.
- Good understanding of the different needs of users across a variety of platforms and devices.
- Experience with current automated testing approaches and a pragmatic approach to implementing and improving the testing pyramid.
- Actively leverage AI development tooling (copilots, autonomous agents) to accelerate delivery with strong engineering judgement.
- Product mindset and comfort working with product owners to break down business requirements into deliverable tasks and estimate complexity.
- B2 (Intermediate) level written and spoken English for technical discussions in an English-speaking team.
Nice to Have
- Written or spoken Spanish at a working proficiency.
- Experience using GraphQL in a production environment.
- Experience with mobile performance best practices and debugging.
- Experience with staged rollouts and multivariate testing approaches.
- Understanding of accessibility needs and familiarity with approaches and tooling to ensure guidelines are met.
- Experience with UI/UX design and discussing approaches with product designers.
- Experience building or working on products scaled from zero to tens/hundreds of thousands of users.
