What You'll Do
- Lead the full mechanical design process across diverse project scales, making key technical decisions with minimal oversight
- Direct and assign design tasks to team members, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines
- Review documentation and correspondence from junior engineers for accuracy and completeness
- Play a central role in quality assurance, particularly on large, intricate projects
- Advise on technical challenges, prepare analytical reports, and support resolution of field issues with limited senior input
- Manage one major project or several smaller initiatives, overseeing planning, execution, and client communication
- Identify new business opportunities, contribute to proposals, and participate in client presentations
- Support firm growth by maintaining client relationships and securing new work
- Contribute to technical leadership within the engineering team on both routine and high-complexity assignments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license
- At least 18 years of relevant engineering experience
