About the Role

Re:Build Manufacturing is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our DAPR Engineering team, focusing on developing turnkey industrial machines and custom automation solutions. You will support project teams through all phases, from concept generation to machine testing, while providing mentorship to junior engineers in our Merrimack, New Hampshire location.

What You'll Do

  • Support project teams in designing mechanical systems, creating fabrication drawings, BOMs, schematics, and assembly drawings.
  • Optimally communicate and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members.
  • Work to deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Participate in client meetings and internal engineering design reviews.
  • Generate content for project proposals, including developing concepts and estimating effort and equipment cost.
  • Support technicians during machine builds by solving problems and offering solutions.

What We're Looking For

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university, plus equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in a design engineering role with experience indirectly coaching and guiding junior team members.
  • Strong written and verbal communications, organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work and support a team environment.
  • Familiarity with motion systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, robots, etc.
  • Experience user of CAD packages, SolidWorks preferred.
  • Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice to Have

  • Use of engineering tools such as Mathcad, Ansys, or equivalent FEA packages.
  • Experience designing mechanisms for automation, complex electro-mechanical systems, and/or mechanical solutions that require a high level of precision.
