As the Principal Communications Specialist, you will design and execute comprehensive communication strategies that align with business objectives, support leadership priorities, and strengthen organizational reputation. Working closely with local executives and under the guidance of the Western Europe Lead, you’ll translate complex goals into clear, measurable initiatives that resonate with diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead end-to-end communications plans across corporate and business functions
- Align messaging with organizational strategy and regional priorities
- Engage stakeholders with clarity on roles, deliverables, and expected outcomes
- Manage timelines, budgets, and cross-channel execution using digital, social, and traditional platforms
- Leverage AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to enhance outreach and impact
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, policies, and internal processes
Qualifications and Experience
You bring a proven track record in strategic communications within a regulated industry environment. A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s in Business or Life Sciences is preferred. Fluency in both Dutch and English is essential, along with advanced written and presentation skills.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in biomedical, medical device, or pharmaceutical sectors
- Experience coaching teams and leading diverse professionals
- Strong grasp of the Benelux healthcare market and industry dynamics
- Proficiency in project and budget management, with a focus on results
- Demonstrated ability to influence decision-makers and build strategic relationships
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural setting
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position based in Eindhoven, with an expectation to work from the office 2–3 days per week. Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is 82,800 – 124,200 EUR annually. Eligible employees may participate in the Medtronic Incentive Plan, a short-term performance-based incentive. A flexible benefits package is available, designed to support employees at every stage of life and career.
