Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations and performance of multiple remote case management teams by guiding team leads who directly supervise them.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop team leads and managers, enhancing their people-management skills and holding them accountable for team outcomes.
- Design the structure, routines, and standards to maintain alignment and high performance across a distributed multi-team group.
- Conduct regular leadership meetings, performance evaluations, and case reviews to ensure compliance with processes and timely case resolution across teams and time zones.
- Monitor capacity, workloads, and case distribution to sustain balance, efficiency, and consistent output.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to translate broader goals and priorities into clear directives for teams.
- Ensure all pre-litigation cases are managed from claims setup and investigation through lien resolution with complete documentation and strict timeline adherence.
- Oversee claim initiation, medical record and billing retrieval, care management, demand preparation, and lien resolution processes across teams.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational speed, accuracy, and consistency at scale.
- Maintain the firm's quality standards in all documentation, communication, and client interactions.
- Support teams in managing client communication with empathy, clarity, and responsiveness.
- Resolve escalated issues related to treatment, insurance communication, or liens.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and external providers to ensure cases are well-prepared for negotiation and resolution.
- Partner with cross-functional teams in product, engineering, and data to build and refine industry-leading tools and systems.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in personal injury legal operations, case management, or insurance claims, including significant experience managing other managers.
- Led and scaled multiple teams in high-volume, fast-paced environments while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Successfully led remote or distributed teams, building trust, accountability, and performance across geographically dispersed groups.
- Highly proficient with technology, quick to adopt new tools, and energized by working in an AI-forward environment using digital systems for efficiency, accuracy, and innovation.
- Proactive leader who develops strong managers and holds teams accountable to high standards.
- Communicates clearly, professionally, and confidently with clients, team members, and firm leadership.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills.
