Colac Area Health is seeking a Senior Manager Planning & Governance to join the Divisional Management Office within the Planning, Integration & Passenger (PIP) Division. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and activation of divisional strategy, oversee divisional risk and audit activities, and partner closely with executives to align branch priorities with enterprise objectives.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development and activation of the divisional strategy.
- Oversee divisional risk and audit activities.
- Partner closely with executives to align branch priorities with enterprise objectives.
- Shape strategic decisions and influence outcomes at the executive level, driving alignment across a complex, multi-modal transport portfolio.
- Guide how PIP responds to government directions, strategic issues and evolving customer needs.
- Translate enterprise direction into a clear and compelling strategic narrative, enabling leaders to prioritise effectively.
- Synthesise data, risk insights and customer considerations to support informed and timely decision-making.
- Strengthen strategic planning, governance, risk and audit practices, uplifting divisional maturity and embedding clear accountabilities.
- Foster a disciplined, performance-oriented culture that supports strong governance and delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Proven strategic planning experience and strategic leadership capability developed within large, complex organisations or divisions of comparable scale.
- Experience confidently partnering with senior leaders, navigating competing priorities and shaping strategic outcomes.
- Experience leading end-to-end strategic planning processes — from environmental scanning and priority setting through to roadmap development, performance alignment and execution oversight.
- Ability to influence executive-level decisions and communicate complex information in a clear, compelling and actionable way.
- Ability to bring clarity to ambiguity, align diverse stakeholders and enable informed decision-making.
- Sound judgement, confidence in decision-making and the ability to leverage expertise across teams to drive outcomes.
- Credible leader, experienced in presenting, facilitating and using data to inform decisions.
- Experience in building high-performing teams that partner effectively with executives and other relevant stakeholders.
- Successfully developed and embedded new approaches end-to-end within a functional domain.
- A culture-first mindset - enabling strong governance, effective risk management and the behaviours that support PIP in delivering its customer-focused mission.
