About the Role

Oversee the creation and delivery of compelling proposals by managing a team of writers and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to meet deadlines and win targets.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the end-to-end proposal management lifecycle for high-value opportunities
  • Develop and implement standardized processes to improve proposal quality and efficiency
  • Lead a team of proposal specialists and coordinate contributions from subject matter experts
  • Collaborate with sales and technical teams to understand client needs and solution offerings
  • Ensure compliance with submission requirements and evaluation criteria
  • Manage multiple concurrent proposals under tight deadlines
  • Create and maintain proposal templates, content libraries, and best practices
  • Conduct win theme development sessions to strengthen competitive positioning
  • Review drafts for clarity, consistency, and alignment with client priorities
  • Track proposal metrics and success rates to inform continuous improvement
  • Serve as primary point of contact for proposal-related inquiries across departments
  • Train team members on writing techniques and response strategies
  • Oversee the use of proposal technology and content management systems
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and competitor approaches
  • Support leadership in shaping go/no-go decision frameworks
  • Ensure brand and messaging consistency across all submissions
  • Facilitate kickoff and review meetings for major proposal efforts
  • Manage external resources when additional support is required
  • Develop executive summaries and management presentations
  • Integrate feedback from reviewers and stakeholders efficiently
  • Maintain a risk-aware approach to compliance and data handling
  • Drive post-submission debriefs to capture lessons learned
  • Promote a culture of accountability and excellence in documentation
  • Align proposal strategy with organizational growth goals
  • Represent the function in cross-departmental planning sessions
