OPG is hiring a Senior Manager Corporate Development

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and ongoing management of sophisticated financial models to assess new construction projects, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic opportunities, including support for Power Purchase Agreement or Energy Supply Agreement negotiations and business case formulation.
  • Provide strategic financial and commercial analysis to guide executive decision-making on key corporate initiatives.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence and risk evaluation for prospective transactions, leading coordination with internal teams across the organization to deliver timely and accurate outputs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external partners such as financial advisors and consultants to advance strategic project deliverables.
  • Stay current on capital market dynamics, energy industry trends, electricity market regulations, and changes in government funding or tax policies.
  • Offer expert financial modeling support to other internal teams and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, encouraging adoption of best practices and professional development to meet organizational needs and support future leadership pipelines.
  • Foster team engagement, alignment with corporate objectives, collaborative culture, and high performance standards while maintaining a safe and positive workplace.
