About the Role
This role leads the accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The individual will manage key accounting processes, supervise staff, and act as a strategic partner to executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and regulatory standards
- Manage internal controls and audit coordination
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes
- Develop and monitor key accounting policies and procedures
- Supervise accounting staff and external consultants
- Drive process improvements in financial reporting systems
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of ERP systems
- Evaluate and report on complex accounting matters
- Prepare disclosures for regulatory filings
- Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting
- Partner with tax team on compliance and planning
- Lead special projects related to financial infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with SOX requirements
- Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- Oversee revenue recognition processes
- Provide guidance on lease accounting standards
- Analyze financial data for decision-making support
- Develop accounting frameworks for new business lines
- Ensure accurate reporting for multi-state operations
- Support due diligence for potential acquisitions
- Train team members on evolving accounting standards
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership
