About the Role
This position is responsible for administering macOS applications in an enterprise environment, providing technical leadership, troubleshooting complex issues, and supporting system-wide deployment and compliance initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the deployment and configuration of macOS applications across distributed teams
- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations for macOS environments
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce compliance and endpoint protection policies
- Diagnose and resolve advanced application and system-level issues on macOS devices
- Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures
- Support software update cycles and patch management for macOS platforms
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate macOS systems with enterprise infrastructure
- Ensure compatibility between third-party applications and macOS operating system versions
- Lead initiatives to improve scalability and reliability of macOS application delivery
- Develop automation scripts to streamline administrative tasks on macOS endpoints
- Respond to critical incidents involving macOS application failures or outages
- Evaluate new macOS tools and technologies for potential adoption
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members and support staff
- Assist in onboarding and offboarding processes for macOS device users
- Manage certificate and identity configurations for secure access
- Support integration with directory services such as Active Directory and Jamf Pro
- Troubleshoot connectivity and authentication issues on macOS systems
- Ensure adherence to corporate IT policies and regulatory standards
- Participate in change management reviews for macOS-related updates
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning for macOS environments
- Maintain inventory and licensing compliance for macOS applications
- Implement and test backup solutions for macOS user data
- Assist in the design of secure and efficient macOS deployment workflows
- Stay current with Apple platform updates and security advisories
- Facilitate user training and support resources for macOS applications
