First American is hiring a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to oversee our large-scale enterprise environment of 700+ Linux servers in a fully remote capacity. In this senior role, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance, security, and efficient operation of our critical infrastructure using tools like Ansible, Rundeck, and ManageEngine.

What You'll Do

Design, implement, and manage configuration management tools (Rundeck, ManageEngine) to ensure secure and efficient server management.
Develop and maintain policies, configurations, and compliance standards for Linux servers.
Create and manage server configuration profiles, applications, and updates.
Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to server builds, application deployment, and policy compliance.
Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to develop and maintain a comprehensive server management strategy.
Assist in developing and maintaining documentation related to Rundeck and ManageEngine configurations, policies, and procedures.

What We're Looking For

In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems administration.
Strong experience managing Linux servers using configuration management tools including Ansible, Rundeck, and ManageEngine.
Familiarity with scripting languages including Bash, Shell, Python or similar.
Knowledge of security hardening practices using CIS security standards.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry best practices.

Nice to Have

Experience creating and managing server bakery images.
Experience working in Cloud environments (AWS preferred).
Experience working with Microsoft Windows OS.
Experience using artifact/package/binary management tools (Artifactory preferred).
Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.
