Sentara Health is hiring a Senior IT Specialty Analyst to provide day-to-day support and optimization for critical software applications. In this remote role, you will be responsible for builds, upgrades, system enhancements, and on-call support, while analyzing business needs to decrease expenses and improve workflows. Your work directly supports our mission to improve health every day.

What You'll Do

Perform day-to-day support and optimization of software applications, including builds, upgrades, and system enhancements.
Analyze business and clinical needs, evaluate software releases or new products, and give recommendations to optimize processes and decrease expenses.
Perform and document workflow assessments to determine functional requirements for optimal application utilization.
Develop system test plans and perform testing of software upgrades and patches, maintaining a record of test progress and results.
Manage problem, incident, and change management processes along with service requests.
Provide daily on-call support to the customer base for application-related issues.
Work within a cross-functional team and with end-users to achieve application integration that meets business and clinical needs.
Communicate software issues, requirements, upgrades, and enhancements.
Oversee smaller-sized projects or components of larger projects.
Coordinate implementation or project planning around software application releases.
Manage projects and processes while working independently with limited supervision.
Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals.

What We're Looking For

5+ years of relevant experience with a degree, or 7+ years without a degree.
Active Epic Professional Billing Certification.
10 years of experience in professional billing.
