About the Role

Sentara Health is hiring a Senior IT Specialty Analyst to provide day-to-day support and optimization for critical software applications. In this remote role, you will be responsible for builds, upgrades, system enhancements, and on-call support, while analyzing business needs to decrease expenses and improve workflows. Your work directly supports our mission to improve health every day.

What You'll Do

  • Perform day-to-day support and optimization of software applications, including builds, upgrades, and system enhancements.
  • Analyze business and clinical needs, evaluate software releases or new products, and give recommendations to optimize processes and decrease expenses.
  • Perform and document workflow assessments to determine functional requirements for optimal application utilization.
  • Develop system test plans and perform testing of software upgrades and patches, maintaining a record of test progress and results.
  • Manage problem, incident, and change management processes along with service requests.
  • Provide daily on-call support to the customer base for application-related issues.
  • Work within a cross-functional team and with end-users to achieve application integration that meets business and clinical needs.
  • Communicate software issues, requirements, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Oversee smaller-sized projects or components of larger projects.
  • Coordinate implementation or project planning around software application releases.
  • Manage projects and processes while working independently with limited supervision.
  • Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with a degree, or 7+ years without a degree.
  • Active Epic Professional Billing Certification.
  • 10 years of experience in professional billing.
