EX Squared is hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer (Remote - US)

Join Jobgether as a Senior Cloud Engineer. In this critical remote role, you will architect, manage, and secure our cloud and hybrid infrastructure. Your work will directly enable system reliability, scalability, and automation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support internal applications and enhance our development pipelines.

What You'll Do

• Administer, maintain, and optimize cloud and hybrid infrastructure, including application deployments and server builds.
• Design, implement, and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Bash for cloud orchestration and operational tasks.
• Lead deployment and release management, including CI/CD pipeline creation, and implement blue-green, canary, and rolling release strategies.
• Configure and manage Azure PaaS services (App Service, AKS, Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, Application Gateway) and core Azure infrastructure (Storage, Networking, Compute).
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or Bicep for repeatable, reliable deployments.
• Monitor cloud environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and integrate with SIEM tools like Splunk and Sentinel.
• Maintain hybrid networking and security, including VPN, ExpressRoute, NSGs, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and NIST, and monitor security posture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects, incident response, change management, and performance optimization.

What We're Looking For

• 6–10+ years in IT infrastructure or cloud operations.
• 3–5 years of focused experience with Azure PaaS services.
• Strong expertise with Azure App Service, AKS, Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Application Gateway.
• Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash.
• Extensive experience in CI/CD pipeline automation using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of cloud and hybrid networking, load balancing, and security controls.
• Proven track record in incident response, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Azure DevOps Engineer.
• Familiarity with ITIL or DevOps change management frameworks and compliance monitoring.
