Back Market is hiring a Senior IT Integration Engineer to join our IT Ops Engineering team. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to elevating our global IT maturity by delivering robust technical solutions, increasing team productivity, enforcing governance, and improving our IT tech stack.
What You'll Do
- Act as a senior technical contributor within the Integration Engineering team, providing direction across complex automation and integration initiatives.
- Design scalable architectures for IT workflows and systems, and bring clarity to technical choices through strong communication and documentation.
- Influence technical strategy within the team and across IT-related stakeholders.
- Build and maintain advanced automation across our internal SaaS ecosystem: Okta, Workday, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian suite, Jamf, and more.
- Develop and own tools that enhance system efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support compliance and security needs.
- Create and maintain integrations using Workato or similar platforms, with a focus on scalability, observability, and reliability.
- Take end-to-end ownership of key projects from design and prototyping to implementation and operational hand-off.
- Lead incident post-mortems and root cause analysis for internal IT services.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure internal tooling meets business requirements and scales with the organization.
- Identify system inefficiencies and lead efforts to continuously improve internal processes.
- Provide mentorship through peer reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical documentation.
- Proactively drive the adoption of engineering best practices within the IT team.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in IT engineering, infrastructure, or automation roles in a SaaS-heavy environment.
- Strong hands-on coding and scripting skills (e.g., Python, Shell scripting).
- Solid experience with SaaS APIs and integration platforms (e.g., Workato, Zapier, Tray.io, n8n).
- In-depth knowledge of Okta, identity lifecycle automation, and endpoint management (Jamf, Workspace ONE).
- Ability to drive architectural decisions and lead technical projects across multiple teams.
- Strong communication skills: you can advocate for your ideas clearly and constructively.
- Fluent in English.
Nice to Have
- French language skills are a plus.

Team & Environment
You will sit within the IT Ops Engineering team, part of the Platform group within our Bureau of Technology (BoT). The Platform group includes more than 10 specialized teams, and the IT function is divided into two teams. You will report directly to your future manager.
