NBBJ is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our integrated design practice. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing the design of projects while providing leadership and mentoring junior talent.
What You'll Do
- Champion design excellence and set new standards for innovation, performance, and social and environmental impact.
- Lead the design process for projects of multiple scales, from concept through documentation and construction administration.
- Apply a deep expertise for designing healing spaces for patients and effective work environments for healthcare professionals.
- Excel in cross-disciplinary collaboration with architects, planners, lighting and graphic designers.
- Foster and develop design talent, leading with enthusiasm and setting standards for professional and creative rigor.
- Describe design solutions in a clear narrative with graphics to generate understanding and engagement.
- Drive design toward measurable outcomes, financial success, and client, community, and environmental goals.
What We're Looking For
- Interior Design or Architecture degree from an accredited program (Master’s or Bachelor’s).
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in Interior Design and/or Interior Architecture.
- LEED accreditation or commitment to obtain it within 18 months of hire.
- Strong marketing, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Experience leading teams and directing design on multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience in research, selection and specification of materials and finishes.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Basic working knowledge of Revit, as well as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience working on complex healthcare projects in all phases of design.
- Architectural or interior design professional licensure.
- Experience with furniture selection and specification.
- Sketchup, Rhino and/or 3DS Max experience.

You will work collaboratively within a fully integrated design practice alongside Architects, Medical and Lab Planners, BIM Integration Leaders, and Urban Planners at NBBJ.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $120,000 - $135,000
