As a Senior Integration Engineer, you will drive the implementation and oversight of integration standards across a distributed microservices architecture. You'll manage core API and integration platforms, ensuring consistent practices around security, reliability, and performance are maintained across all connected systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce integration standards established by Solution Architecture
- Operate and maintain API management platforms, including configuration and lifecycle management
- Enforce security controls across APIs and integration layers
- Design and maintain observability practices for end-to-end integration monitoring
- Support both synchronous and event-driven asynchronous integration models
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to enable effective integration solutions
- Ensure high availability, performance, and quality of integration pipelines
Qualifications
You bring proven experience in cloud-based integration environments, particularly with Azure or AWS. Expertise in REST API design using OpenAPI/Swagger, API versioning, and authentication methods is essential. Experience with Azure APIM and API gateway patterns—including rate limiting, caching, and message transformation—is required. You should be proficient in Git, infrastructure as code using Terraform, and monitoring practices including metrics, alerts, and dashboards.
Preferred qualifications include API analytics to assess usage and optimize performance, as well as hands-on experience integrating SaaS platforms such as SAP or Salesforce.
