About the Role
Oversee the development and execution of highway and traffic engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of engineers in the design and implementation of highway and traffic infrastructure projects.
- Develop and review project plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure project compliance and safety.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to address project-related issues.
- Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
- Manage project budgets and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Conduct traffic studies and analyses to inform project design and implementation.
- Develop and implement traffic management plans for construction and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate highway and traffic engineering solutions.
- Review and approve design drawings, calculations, and other technical documents.
- Participate in the preparation of proposals and bids for new projects.
- Conduct peer reviews of project deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in highway and traffic engineering.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the relevant state.
- Proven experience in highway and traffic engineering, with a focus on design and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with traffic simulation software and tools.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
