Role Overview
A Senior Graphics Service Engineer is responsible for delivering expert technical support for high-performance print finishing and document processing systems across the Cork region. This position requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex machinery to ensure consistent, reliable operation for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment malfunctions on-site, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and within service level expectations
- Train customer operators in proper use, calibration, and maintenance procedures to maximize system performance
- Apply systematic problem-solving methods to address root causes and prevent recurring technical issues
- Deliver feedback to service leadership on customer experiences and recommend practical improvements to service delivery
- Support business growth by maintaining exceptional service standards and identifying opportunities for additional service offerings
- Offer remote technical guidance on equipment and software operation and care
- Plan and manage daily service schedules to optimize route efficiency, customer communication, and adherence to maintenance agreements
- Accurately complete and submit all service documentation and installation records in a timely manner
- Attend company-led technical training and obtain required certifications from equipment manufacturers
- Collaborate with internal teams, sales staff, and external partners on technical matters
- Maintain and track inventory of spare parts carried for field service
- Adapt to evolving departmental processes designed to improve service effectiveness
- Deliver technically sound, customer-focused service that supports long-term client relationships and brand trust
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in Cork, Ireland, combining field service visits with administrative and planning tasks. Engineers must be mobile and able to travel locally to customer sites as needed.
