About the Role

TD Canada Trust is looking for a Senior Governance & Control Analyst to provide specialized business governance and control advice and support. You will lead the implementation of governance initiatives, manage cross-functional work activities, and support integrated policy implementation, guided by our vision to Be the Better Bank.

What You'll Do

  • Provide specialized business governance and control advice and support to management, leadership, and their teams.
  • Lead the implementation of governance and control initiatives that support the overall business strategy.
  • Manage a set of business governance and control work activities requiring coordination across multiple functional areas.
  • Review processes and controls, connecting insights across issues and control deficiencies to increase standardization.
  • Support and manage the integrated implementation of policies, processes, procedures, and changes.
  • Exercise discretion in managing communication, information, and matters of confidentiality.
  • Conduct research projects and support the development and delivery of materials and presentations.
  • Adhere to enterprise frameworks and methodologies relevant to your business area.
  • Lead work streams as a project lead or subject matter expert for medium-scale projects.
  • Protect the organization's interests by identifying and managing risks and escalating high-risk activities as necessary.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control supported by effective processes.
  • Be knowledgeable of and comply with the Bank Code of Conduct.

What We're Looking For

  • Subject matter expert with in-depth business knowledge and expertise in your domain.
  • Working knowledge of broader related business areas.
  • Ability to integrate the broader organizational context into advice and solutions.
  • Understanding of a certain aspect of the industry, competition, and factors that differentiate the organization.
  • Skill in applying best practices to implement process, product, or service improvements.
  • Experience leading projects of moderately to complex risk and resource requirements.
  • Contributes to setting standards within your area of expertise.
  • Solves complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables and consultation with multiple stakeholders.
  • Uses advanced methods to contribute to new solutions and recommend operating standards.
  • Interprets guidelines, standards, policies, and analysis results to inform senior-level decision-making.
  • Works independently as an SME or lead and guides others within your area of expertise.
  • Broad and deep knowledge of business and the risk and control environment.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
