Responsibilities
- Create and implement end-to-end sourcing strategies with deep component-level insight into cost, risk, capacity, and qualification needs.
- Ensure all critical components have sourcing plans synchronized with product rollout and volume growth timelines.
- Shift procurement practices from reactive buying to proactive, forecast-driven planning.
- Anticipate and mitigate risks such as single-source dependencies, extended lead times, and supply constraints ahead of project deadlines.
- Develop frameworks to categorize suppliers by technical ability, nuclear certification status, production capacity, commercial value, and strategic relevance.
- Set standards for supplier classification and maintain alignment across Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams.
- Manage the Approved Supplier List (ASL), verifying compliance with regulatory, quality, and performance benchmarks.
- Lead structured supplier performance reviews, including scorecards, corrective actions, and long-term engagement planning.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with federal and state tax credit regulations, particularly domestic content rules.
- Collaborate with Finance to build systems, documentation, and spend tracking that support incentive qualification.
- Define qualification standards and reporting processes to maximize eligibility for tax incentives.
- Deliver clear reporting on procurement spending to aid financial planning and incentive capture.
- Improve the full RFx process to enhance transparency, supplier response rates, and data accuracy.
- Assess, choose, and deploy tools like supplier portals to scale sourcing operations efficiently.
- Support the implementation of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems to align sourcing strategy with transactional execution.
- Align sourcing decisions with nuclear regulatory and quality assurance standards.
- Collaborate with Quality and Engineering on procurement for safety-critical components.
- Maintain expertise in nuclear ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) requirements and relevant Code Stamps (e.g., N, NPT, NA), and apply them to supplier qualification and manufacturing oversight.
