Responsibilities
- Evaluate new game concepts through market research, genre trend analysis, competitive benchmarking, and player opportunity assessment.
- Define and document the product vision, including core narrative, target audience, unique selling points, KPIs, and success criteria.
- Collaborate with Finance and Production to build a financial case, including staffing, timeline, budget, and risk evaluation.
- Develop and manage the full green-light submission package for executive leadership review and approval.
- Set clear, measurable criteria for project progression and business justification at each stage.
- Maintain and iteratively improve the product roadmap, prioritization model, and key delivery milestones.
- Partner with production teams to convert strategic vision into actionable development milestones and sprint goals.
- Ensure all features support key performance indicators, player motivations, and market positioning.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment to ensure consistent understanding of priorities and assumptions.
- Manage changes to scope, resources, or timelines using data and clear rationale.
- Own the tracking of risks and assumptions, along with cross-departmental mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Analytics, and Community teams to shape launch plans, messaging, and market positioning.
- Verify the product meets all readiness requirements before launch, including quality standards, analytics setup, and content completeness.
- Organize and oversee pre-launch playtests, player research, and feedback loops.
- Monitor live-service metrics and player input to guide post-launch updates and improvements.
- Lead post-launch reviews and ensure insights are integrated into future development practices.
- Refine and maintain the company’s product approval framework, gating standards, and evaluation methods.
- Develop and maintain standardized templates for product documentation, including PRDs and KPI dashboards.
- Enforce consistent process discipline to reduce misalignment, late-stage issues, and inefficient resource use.
- Engage relevant experts across departments—Production, Finance, Analytics, Creative, Marketing—at critical decision points.
