Responsibilities
- Lead the development and deployment of both frontend and backend systems
- Collaborate with product and design teams to define feature requirements
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Improve application performance and user experience
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across the stack
- Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
- Ensure data security and compliance with financial regulations
- Optimize database queries and server efficiency
- Contribute to API design and integration
- Maintain and refactor legacy code when necessary
- Help set technical direction for new features
- Monitor production systems and respond to incidents
- Document technical decisions and system architecture
- Support deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes
- Evaluate third-party tools and services for integration
- Advocate for best practices in software engineering
- Mentor other developers through pair programming and feedback
- Stay current with evolving web technologies
- Ensure accessibility standards are met in UI components
- Work with analytics to track product usage and impact
- Balance technical debt with feature development
- Contribute to on-call rotation for system stability
- Assist in defining scalability strategies
- Collaborate on user testing and feedback loops
- Integrate with financial data providers and banking APIs
Compensation
$180,000 – $220,000 base salary, plus equity and benefits
Work Arrangement
Hybrid with preference for candidates in San Francisco; remote candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
