About the Role

Altera is hiring a Senior Financial/Cost Analyst to provide counsel in controls, pricing, cost, marketing strategies, ROI decisions, M&A, and business plan development. In this role, you will translate business strategy into financial targets and tactical plans, partner with business teams on operating plans, and analyze business performance versus budget and forecast.

What You'll Do

  • Translate business strategy into financial targets and tactical plans, supporting execution in a controlled, risk-aware manner.
  • Partner with business teams to develop the operating and financial plans required to achieve management's strategic plan.
  • Perform analysis of business performance versus budget and forecast, benchmarking key performance indicators against external and internal peers.
  • Execute financial process improvements by maintaining financial tools and recommending automation and more efficient methods of creation and delivery.
  • Perform cost/benefit and sensitivity analysis for various 'what if' scenarios and their overall impact on different business teams.
  • Lead in-depth analysis that informs performance management discussions, integrating operational outcomes and financial performance to drive improvement.
  • Create automated reports using business intelligence tools to deliver meaningful insights into business performance and provide decision support.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, cost analysis, business finance, or management accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and cost accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Workday), BI tools, and advanced spreadsheet modeling.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience, including presenting insights to senior leadership.

Nice to Have

  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, CMA, or CFA.
  • Experience working in multinational or regional APAC environments.
