Standard Insurance Company is looking for a Data Analyst Intern to join our Retirement Plan Sales Data and Analytics team this summer. You will play a key role in analyzing sales activity data and optimizing attribution models to support our sales strategy.

What You'll Do

• Collect, measure, organize, and analyze data to support sales strategy.
• Use SQL and Python to manage and extract insights from datasets.
• Support database design, development, data models, and segmentation efforts.
• Use statistical tools like Excel and Power BI to conduct analysis.
• Build data visualizations using Power BI or Tableau.
• Analyze and interpret Salesforce CRM data to generate actionable insights.
• Assist with query writing, report creation, and presentations.
• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in data reporting.
• Work collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced environment.

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Data Science and Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills, including data mining, evaluation, and visualization.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or other analytic tools.
• Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and experience with data visualization platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with large datasets.
• Ability to work as a team or independently.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
