Standard Insurance Company is looking for a Data Analyst Intern to join our Retirement Plan Sales Data and Analytics team this summer. You will play a key role in analyzing sales activity data and optimizing attribution models to support our sales strategy.
What You'll Do
- Collect, measure, organize, and analyze data to support sales strategy.
- Use SQL and Python to manage and extract insights from datasets.
- Support database design, development, data models, and segmentation efforts.
- Use statistical tools like Excel and Power BI to conduct analysis.
- Build data visualizations using Power BI or Tableau.
- Analyze and interpret Salesforce CRM data to generate actionable insights.
- Assist with query writing, report creation, and presentations.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in data reporting.
- Work collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced environment.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Data Science and Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills, including data mining, evaluation, and visualization.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or other analytic tools.
- Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and experience with data visualization platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with large datasets.
- Ability to work as a team or independently.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
