Braze is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to fill a hybrid role combining project budget analysis with accounting support. You will partner with operational teams to manage clinical trial finances while assisting with general ledger functions and the monthly close cycle.
What You'll Do
- Support project teams in all financial areas associated with running clinical trials.
- Prepare monthly invoicing worksheets for client invoicing and revenue recognition.
- Conduct variance analysis comparing forecasted to actual revenue to identify gaps.
- Review work orders and change order budgets against actual activities.
- Perform monthly Earned Value Analyses (EVA's) with Project Directors/Managers and join project review meetings.
- Assist the Executive Director of Operational Finance in preparing contract documents.
- Support the Company Accountant with financial reporting and ensure an accurate, timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
- Collaborate with others in the Finance department to support overall goals.
- Respond to inquiries from the CFO and Executive Director regarding financial results and ad-hoc analyses.
- Help develop and implement new procedures to enhance workflow and internal controls.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- Five or more years of general ledger and financial reporting experience.
- Working knowledge of the full accounting cycle, project budgets, financial project management, Earned Value Analysis (EVA), and contract review.
- Ability to undertake occasional domestic and international travel, including overnight stays.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for North America or an equivalent local qualification.
- CRO industry experience.
- Experience with QuickBooks.

You will work closely with the Company Accountant and collaborate with others in Finance. You will provide direct support to the Executive Director of Operational Finance and the CFO.
