At Trane Technologies, we believe in a better future when we uplift others and enable our people to thrive. We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Greenville, SC. This role focuses on financial planning, cost accounting, and operational support within our manufacturing environment, driving budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and process improvement.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the annual budgeting, standard cost setting, forecasting, and reporting of the income statement and balance sheet.
- Manage the annual physical inventory process and related reconciliations.
- Manage the CapEx process and projects with related tracking reconciliations.
- Manage obsolete & slow-moving inventory reserves and planning.
- Identify and investigate material variances to ensure accurate material cost.
- Execute the standards-setting process and maintain standard costs in the ERP system.
- Partner with the Controller on the monthly close process, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Assist in educating on and ensuring compliance with financial processes, policies, Sarbanes Oxley, and company practices.
- Drive and participate in operational excellence initiatives to support organizational goals.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and relevant financial reports for plant management to facilitate business analysis.
- Coach and develop cost accountants on material cost systems and data analytics.
- Support ad hoc analysis of results, budgets, and forecasts focusing on P&L, cash flow, working capital, and financial ratios.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting and/or finance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong PC skills: Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Understanding of cost accounting with overheads and absorption, material backflushing, inventory valuation, and material variance system management.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a complex integrated supply chain.
- Proven success implementing process improvement and change management initiatives.
- Strong ability to coach and teach junior cost accountants both technical and soft skills.

- Compensation range: $75,500 - $121,800.
