Responsibilities
- Engage with US intelligence agencies to communicate technology vision, product roadmap, and address technical inquiries across quantum computing, networking, security, sensing, and space applications.
- Guide client conversations to demonstrate practical integration of quantum-enabled applications within their operational environments.
- Collaborate with clients to identify business challenges and translate them into executable quantum algorithm implementations, including proof-of-concept development in areas like finance, bioscience, chemistry, materials science, optimization, and generative AI.
- Communicate client insights and requirements to internal product and engineering teams to influence roadmap and development priorities.
- Address competitive positioning concerns and provide technically grounded responses to objections.
- Convert client business objectives into defined technical initiatives in coordination with cross-functional team members.
- Develop educational materials and technical assets that clarify the functionality and benefits of quantum applications and related products.
- Advance client engagements from early-stage ideation through domain-specific exploration, prototyping, and deployment into production systems.
- Lead discovery workshops to identify high-impact use cases where quantum algorithms can provide measurable value, in collaboration with application specialists.
- Collaborate with marketing, developer outreach, and business development teams to expand visibility and understanding of quantum offerings.
- Represent the organization at industry events, support client outreach, and contribute to conference presence as required.

- This is a technical customer-facing role with the appropriate balance of compensation acceleration for success and a base salary to ensure that credibility and technical correctness always comes first.
- Some travel expected in the US (20%) but opportunities for global travel are available as well for client meeting and IonQ conference activities.
