John Deere was looking for a Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer

The Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer leads the design, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment supporting manufacturing operations. This role focuses on automation modernization, compliance with safety and electrical standards, and cross-functional collaboration within an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems, components, and products for manufacturing and industrial use.
  • Produce and manage schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults in machinery, equipment, or facility infrastructure.
  • Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation upgrades, reliability improvements, and integration of AI tools for process automation and monitoring.
  • Partner with mechanical engineering, maintenance, production, and quality teams to align system performance with operational goals.
  • Ensure designs meet applicable codes, safety regulations, and standards such as NEC, UL, and I游戏副本, including Arc Flash studies and labeling.
  • Conduct testing, analysis, and validation of electrical systems using Schneider PME software.
  • Provide engineering support throughout the lifecycle of capital projects, from concept to execution.
  • Collaborate extensively with vendors, contractors, and consultants on equipment specifications and installation requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of professional electrical engineering experience.
  • Solid understanding of industrial electrical design, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Proficiency with CAD software including AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Experience with PLCs, automation systems, or industrial controls.
  • Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Background in manufacturing, industrial operations, or equipment design.
  • Knowledge of motor drives, sensors, instrumentation, and safety circuit design.
  • Familiarity with programming or ladder logic using Rockwell or Siemens platforms.
  • Hold or actively pursuing a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
