We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our engineering group, focused on building real-time automation and data systems that connect plant floor operations to enterprise platforms. You will play a key role in designing, programming, and deploying control solutions across diverse industrial environments.
What You’ll Do
- Design and execute automation systems that integrate seamlessly from machine level to business systems.
- Develop and debug logic for PLCs and PACs, configure HMIs, and build SCADA frameworks.
- Lead system testing and commissioning at customer facilities, identifying areas for optimization.
- Produce detailed engineering documentation, including design records, proposals, and traceability reports.
- Design network and database architectures to support industrial applications.
- Explore and integrate emerging technologies, including vision systems and data historians.
- Share expertise through mentoring and collaborative problem-solving with team members.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven background in real-time industrial automation across manufacturing environments.
- Strong skills in PLC/PAC programming, HMI development, and SCADA system design.
- Hands-on experience with industrial networks such as EthernetIP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Modbus, and legacy Rockwell protocols.
- Familiarity with vision systems from Cognex, Keyence, or Datalogic.
- Knowledge of database structures and data management tools, including PI System.
- Programming experience with Python is a plus.
- Industry experience in food and beverage or life sciences is preferred.
