UNIQA Capital Markets GmbH is hiring a Senior Expert: Sanctions & Anti-Money Laundering Prevention. In this role, you will support and represent the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Officers to ensure compliance with legal and internal requirements for UNIQA Österreich Versicherungen AG and UNIQA Insurance Group AG. You will analyze complex cases, develop and strengthen controls, conduct assessments, and provide expert training.
What You'll Do
- Provide expert support and represent the Sanctions and Money Laundering Officers in ensuring compliance with legal and internal requirements for economic sanctions and AML prevention.
- Assess cases involving sanctions and AML prevention and prepare analyses, statements, and recommendations.
- Participate in the implementation and further development of regulations, processes, and controls in the area of economic sanctions and AML prevention.
- Conduct remote assessments on sanctions and AML prevention to evaluate the effectiveness of local functions within UIG group companies.
- Further develop and strengthen sanctions- and AML-related controls in the Internal Control System (ICS).
- Create and conduct training on sanctions and money laundering topics.
- Prepare decision-making bases, reports, and expert statements.
- Support reporting to the Board of Directors, Supervisory Board, and Risk Committee.
- Participate in projects and work closely with international units of UIG across countries.
What We're Looking For
- A completed degree in law, economics, or a comparable qualification.
- Very good analytical skills for interpreting complex sanctions- and AML-relevant matters.
- An independent, structured, and reliable working style with high initiative and solution orientation.
- Strong communication and networking skills in a corporate environment.
- Understanding of group steering, governance structures, and group-wide control systems.
- Very good German language skills and good English language skills, both spoken and written.
