About the Role

Zendesk is hiring a Senior Engagement Manager to drive the success of our most complex client projects. This role balances leadership, strategic communication, and advanced project management to ensure projects meet client objectives and internal goals.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for major clients, nurturing long-term relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Oversee the delivery of complex projects from inception through completion, ensuring they meet client expectations, budget, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to refining project delivery methodologies to enhance efficiency across engagements.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior engagement managers and team members.
  • Identify project risks and bottlenecks, implementing robust solutions proactively.
  • Provide strategic oversight to ensure alignment with client objectives and internal goals.
  • Assist in developing proposals and participate in contract negotiations.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends to provide value-added recommendations.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, product development, and other departments for cohesive execution.
  • Manage individual projects and portfolios profitably.

What We're Looking For

  • Fluency in Portuguese and English required.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in client-facing roles in a consultancy or professional services environment, with significant leadership responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and multiple engagements simultaneously.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience mentoring team members.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with clients and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software and CRM tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with the creation and financial impacts of all contract types (FF, T&M, FFM, FTE, etc).
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%.
