Responsibilities
- Lead on all aspects of UK employment law, including policy development and implementation.
- Advise HR and business leaders on employee relations, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
- Manage complex employment disputes and litigation risks.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and regulatory updates.
- Draft, review, and update employment contracts and handbooks.
- Support restructuring initiatives, including redundancy programs.
- Provide legal input on cross-border workforce matters.
- Work closely with global legal teams to align practices.
- Deliver training to managers on employment law fundamentals.
- Monitor changes in labor legislation and assess impact.
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor or barrister in the UK.
- Significant post-qualification experience in employment law.
- Proven track record in handling tribunal claims and investigations.
- Strong knowledge of UK labor law and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience advising internal clients in a corporate setting.
- Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Familiarity with financial services or technology sectors preferred.
