Lead critical safety and risk assessments as a Senior Electrical Engineer within a forward-thinking engineering team. Based in Newcastle at a central office location, this role blends technical depth with client engagement and project leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive risk assessments and functional safety evaluations for complex electrical systems
- Deliver expert engineering input on multidisciplinary initiatives, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance
- Support expansion into sustainable energy solutions and next-generation climate-focused projects
- Manage project parameters including scope, timelines, budget, and deliverables
- Develop and sustain relationships with clients through technical excellence and clear communication
Qualifications and Experience
A recognised degree in Electrical Engineering is required, along with eligibility for Chartered Professional Engineer status. You bring proven experience in technical problem-solving across fields such as automation, renewable power systems, remote energy solutions, or data-driven engineering applications. A strong aptitude for technical documentation, self-driven learning, and client-facing collaboration is essential. A current, unrestricted driver's licence is mandatory.
Preference will be given to candidates with TÜV certification or equivalent in Functional Safety, experience auditing systems against safety standards, and background in industrial controls, machinery, or processing environments. Risk management or engineering design experience is highly valued.
