What You'll Do
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead risk and functional safety assessments across a broad spectrum of industries, including renewable energy and emerging climate technologies. You'll apply deep technical expertise to complex engineering challenges, supporting multidisciplinary teams and shaping project outcomes from concept through delivery.
You will manage key aspects of project execution, including defining scope, scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring timely delivery of engineering solutions. A strong focus will be placed on building lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering high-quality, safety-compliant outcomes. You'll also help grow the organisation’s footprint in sustainable technology sectors.
Requirements
- Engineering degree accredited by Engineers Australia, with a focus on electrical systems
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status, or eligibility to achieve it
- Proven experience in areas such as process automation, renewable energy systems, remote power solutions, and data analysis
- Strong technical writing skills, with a track record of producing detailed engineering reports
- Ability to work independently and drive continuous learning in both technical and commercial domains
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s licence for site visits and client meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- TÜV or equivalent certification in Functional Safety
- Background in auditing electrical systems against safety standards
- Experience in risk assessment methodologies or engineering design processes
- Knowledge of industrial control systems, mining, or processing plant operations and maintenance
