Work within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team to develop precise design documentation for nuclear power systems. You'll translate engineering input into accurate technical drawings, using advanced drafting tools and techniques. A strong foundation in 2D and 3D visualization is essential, with daily use of MicroStation to produce scalable, dimensionally exact plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed design drawings and master sketches that integrate new installations with existing infrastructure
- Use MicroStation to generate models and schematics in alignment with project specifications
- Participate in site walkdowns to collect field data and support design accuracy
- Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and contractors to refine designs and resolve technical challenges
- Communicate drawing details to stakeholders to support design validation and adjustments
- Receive direct training in 3D design environments to expand technical capabilities
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in a technical field or high school diploma with equivalent design experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical design or drafting
- Advanced proficiency with MicroStation and other standard CAD tools
- Proven ability to interpret and visualize complex systems in three dimensions
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
