As a Senior Electrical Designer 1 supporting nuclear projects, you will play a key role in developing accurate and scalable design documentation. You'll produce detailed drawings and master sketches that align proposed installations with existing infrastructure, ensuring all specifications and dimensions are clearly defined and technically sound.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop design drawings using technical input and industry standards
- Apply advanced skills in MicroStation and other computer-aided drafting systems
- Participate in site walkdowns with senior designers to collect critical field data
- Collaborate with vendors and construction teams to clarify design details and support implementation
- Engage in hands-on training to expand proficiency in 3D design environments
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and consistency
Qualifications
A technical associate degree or equivalent experience in drafting is required, along with at least ten years of experience using standard CAD tools such as MicroStation. You must be able to interpret and visualize components in three dimensions without relying on digital modeling. Familiarity with engineering principles and technical design practices is strongly preferred.
Candidates must be citizens of a country listed in Appendix A to Part 810 of the Code of Federal Regulations due to access to export-controlled technical data.
