Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Senior Editor to lead the curation and presentation of content that reaches millions of users daily. In this remote role, you will balance editorial judgment with audience engagement across news, lifestyle, entertainment, sports, and finance.
What You'll Do
- Program and curate content for the homepage and other digital platforms, including headline writing, image selection, and video integration.
- Support breaking news coverage and ensure timely, accurate reporting across desktop, mobile, and app platforms.
- Collaborate with editorial, product, and other internal teams on special projects, new modules, and content development initiatives.
- Execute coverage plans for major events and tentpole stories across multiple categories.
- Monitor content metrics and analytics to inform strategy and audience engagement decisions.
- Manage relationships with key publishers and content partners as needed.
- Uphold journalistic standards, ethics, and editorial consistency in all curated content.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of editorial experience in writing, content programming, or curation for high-traffic digital platforms.
- Strong familiarity with web content management systems, information architecture, and metadata.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high professionalism.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in AP style, copy-editing, and Google Enterprise tools.
- Comfort working a Thursday–Monday schedule, covering weekend and evening hours Eastern Time.
- Adaptable, solution-oriented, and able to thrive under changing priorities.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple editorial projects simultaneously.
